I’ll Be There

Prologue

There are few things in this world that are truly beautiful. I’ve traveled far and long, seen the sky the ocean and everything in between. I’ve met face to face with Goddesses, fairies, demons. For these reasons, I feel I have a realistic grasp of what it is to behold true beauty. And nothing compares to Angels.

I see him sometimes, around the Mansion. Usually in the garden, fluttering about like the butterflies. Such a creature is so out of place in this world, but I’m glad that he’s here. He shows me that no matter how bad things are, or no matter how ugly things appear, there is always goodness and beauty to balance it.

I’ve never spoken a word to him; terrified that my voice would break him, like glass.  Or that all of my imperfections, laid bare in his presence, would cause him to vanish from this world. And now, I can't imagine a day without him.

For now, I am content to watch him, admire him, and meet him in my dreams.
